Throwback: I am eight, my sister is five, it is the glorious Greek summer, we are renting a beach house and have just come back home. "Mama, can you make fries?"
Fries definition: REAL fresh cut potatoes, deep-fried in extra virgin olive oil, topped with oregano.
The menu is tomato salad with feta cheese, cucumber sticks peel on, fresh bread and fries, of course! The epitome of the Greek kids summer food! We pick them from the plate as she takes them out of the frying pan! Hot, hot, hot, delicious!
I am serving Greek fries and tomato salad to my 3 year old in our kitchen in Brooklyn. I am thinking...'good quality memories at a price you can afford'.
Check 'Kid's Favourites’ lesson on Friday, October 24 and learn my mum's tips on how to make perfect fries and great childhood memories. Plus, five winners when it comes to young picky eaters!
